Stress
Too much stress can lead to physical, emotional and behavioral symptoms. We all tend to get stressed, some stress can help us be more productive and achieve our goals.
Some of the physical symptoms are fatigue, sleep issues, stomach aches, chest pain, tension with muscles, muscle pain, and back and neck pain, headaches, as well as migraines, increase of sweating.
Emotional signs of stress are loss of motivation, irritability or anger, anxiety, feeling depressed or sad, restless, inability to focus, mood changes, and a decrease of sex drive are all signs of stress.
Behavioral stress symptoms include, unhealthy eating, drug and alcohol use, social withdrawal, nail biting, and worries and thoughts about the stress in your life.
Anxiety
Anxiety is long term worries, fears with racing heart. sweating and feeling overwhelmed. It is from a situation that causes anxiety with those symptoms. Anxiety causes avoidance, such as avoiding anything you need to do, you may use drugs or alcohol to self-medicate the symptoms, or procrastinate your “to do” list. Avoidance can only give you a short term relief, Once your brain learns about avoidance, it will realize that the symptoms go away. But the symptoms will get worse next time you avoid.
Self-Care
Have positive friends and family who are supportive you can talk to.
Spend quality of time with people who you love
Exercise
Avoid bad habits, of eating unhealthy, caffeine, alcohol and drugs
Write a list of your gratitude
Accept what can’t be changed
Help others/volunteer
Make time for yourself-hobbies
Don’t overwork, spend more time doing what you enjoy
Deep breathe
Yoga
Meditation
Try this: Try writing done your worries and make a plan to work on it slowly. Nothing has to be perfect. Once you start working on the plans, the worries will go away. Let’s say you have a worry that you think there is no plan. Think about making a plan to go out for a walk, or wash your car, or make a good meal. You can always find something to relax the mind and get away from the worry for awhile.
